GUIDED TOURS OF THE MEDIEVAL VILLAGE OF CASTELL’ARQUATO
A guided tour of the medieval village of Castell’Arquato, to discover its millenary history and its rich artistic and cultural heritage. The visit includes: a walk in the monumental square to admire the thirteenth-century Palazzo del Podestà; the visit to the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta, with an austere Romanesque layout but with precious medieval and Renaissance frescoes inside; the entrance to the majestic Rocca Viscontea, a military fortification dating back to the middle of the ‘300, with the ascent to the panoramic terrace at the top of the keep tower.
